A crowd of loyal Benzie County Democrats enjoyed and dinner and silent auction as part of a fun evening of meeting and greeting fellow Democrats, but also having the opportunity to talk with Primary Candidates for the 101st House District and the 1st Congressional District. The main speaker was the Present Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, Brandon Dillon who help celebrate the two honorees from our local Democratic Party for their outstanding work in the community and for the Benzie Democratic Party. Mike Ross the current vice-chair of the Benzie Democratic Party and Don Tanner former County Commissioner and Chair of the Benzie County Commissioner were both honored. Jim Sheets, current Benzonia Township Supervisor and past honoree of the Charlotte Robling award, was the master of ceremony. The event also raised funds to be spent for the 2016 campaign year for our local party.
